CS/CS/CS/SB 784 (Ch. 2025-164, L.O.F.) requires plats and replat submittals to be approved administratively. This ordinance is an example of an administrative approval process for plats. It is not a model ordinance. Municipal attorneys are advised to review Ch. 2025-164 before proceeding with ordinance development.

The Live Local Act, SB 102, was signed by the Governor and became law effective July 1, 2023 (Ch. 2023-17, Laws of Florida). Section 5 of SB 102 imposes both incentives and mandates relating to local government regulation of the use, height, and density of qualifying affordable housing projects. Many municipal attorneys, planners, and elected officials have a variety of questions about the implementation of the provisions of Section 5 of SB 102.
