About the League

Founded in 1922, the Florida League of Cities is the united voice for Florida’s cities, towns, and villages. A nonpartisan organization, the League advocates on behalf of Florida’s cities and supports local leaders through specialized events, training, and resources. Guided by the principle of local voices making local choices, the organization highlights the vital role citizens and city leaders play in shaping Florida’s cities. As the government closest to the people, Florida’s cities are best positioned to address the unique needs of their communities.
