DESCRIPTION:AI for Local Governments: Challenges and Opportunities\nApril 3\, 2026\, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nAB9 (Water School)\, 10501 FGCU Boulevard South\, Fort Myers \nICMA Practices: 4\, 6\, 8\, 9\, 10\, 11\, 12\, 13 and 14 \nCoffee (regular and decaf) water\, and donuts in the morning and a box lunch will be provided for lunch. \nParking is free and details will be forwarded before the event. \nProgram Summary:\nArtificial Intelligence for government operations has become a reality in 2026. Local governments are considering how best to incorporate AI platforms to improve service delivery by assessing their policies\, procedures\, and available resources to ensure use of this technology is practical\, applicable\, and implementable. A panel of local government managers in southwest Florida will convene at FGCU to discuss the implications of AI\, both in terms of challenges and opportunities and learn from each other’s experiences to date. This will be an informal discussion among the panelists.
