International Relations Vision and Mission

Vision
The Florida League of Cities (FLC) will serve as a catalyst to promote and foster Florida city involvement in international activities in the areas of economics/trade and investment, tourism, transportation, arts and culture, education, government, democracy, health, sports, technology, and sister cities.

We recognize Florida's unique place in the international arena in terms of its geography, diversity and tourism. Our cities are seen as the hub of any international activity, and thus the League has established an International Relations Committee to explore ways in which the League can accomplish its vision.

Mission
The International Relations Committee will make recommendations to the FLC Board of Directors on programming and commitment of resources to enhance Florida city involvement in international relations.

(Approved by the FLC Board of Directors October 1, 1999)
