Top Ten Ways to Get Involved Internationally
1. Visit our Web site to familiarize yourself with League International programs. Also featured at this site are links to the National League of Cities, and a host of other sources of information.

2. Write an article (or we will write an article) around pictures submitted by you for the FLC Web site. Let us know about your city’s international activities with officials, students, citizens, or other local groups.

3. Take an “International Inventory” of your community, available August 16 at the FLC Conference for the first time. We will be unveiling this inventory then, but it will eventually be on the Web site or available through our office.

4. As an elected or appointed city official, attend a meeting of, or join the International Relations Committee of the FLC. We meet three times a year, at the FLC Conference, the Legislative Conference and at International Days in Tallahassee.

5. Attend an FLC International Round Table, held with local and regional leagues, in your area. This is a half-day introduction to international activities in your community to learn how international involvement can benefit your city.

6. Attend an FLC International Academy, held once a year for graduates of the round tables and other officials who want to develop more skills and expand their knowledge about international activities in Florida.

7. Read the resource book as an attendee of an FLC round table or graduate of an academy.

8. Call one of the panelists who spoke at the academy or a round table and ask them how they can assist you with a program in your city, free of charge. All of these panelists are happy to provide you with technical assistance or counseling, or refer you to someone else who can help.

9. Attend an international conference, seminar or summit in Florida.

10. Call the FLC for further information!
