Institute for Elected Municipal Officials (IEMO)
|
The Florida League of Cities and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government are proud to bring you the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials. Whether you are a newly elected or veteran municipal official, this specially designed educational program is for you!
The primary objective of the Institute is to provide elected municipal officials with an intensive academic program that will assist them in effectively meeting the requirements of their elected role. The program offers a comprehensive overview of Florida municipal government, presented by a faculty of top professionals in the field.
Started in 1992, the IEMO program has graduated more than 1,700 municipal officials. In 1994, an Advanced Institute was developed for IEMO graduates and city officials who have completed more than one term of office. Click here for more information on the Advanced Institute.
The Institute is a three-day program structured in a Friday through Sunday format. The goal is to make the program as accessible as possible; therefore, the Institute is being offered at various locations throughout the state.
Staff from the Florida League of Cities and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government have developed a comprehensive, quality program. A certificate of attendance for successful completion of the program of study is provided.
