Did you know the City of Vernon is the subject of a documentary shown on the Independent Film Channel (IFC)?
"Vernon, Florida," made in 1982 and directed by Erol Morris, draws phone calls and visits from "Vernon groupies" across the country each time it is aired. While the film is not an accurate depiction of the town, city officials are constantly amazed at the attention it draws.
