Did You Know... Davie

Did you know the Town of Davie is an equestrian oasis in the middle of a large urban area?
In the midst of Broward County, surrounded by three of the state's largest cities, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Pembroke Pines, lays the 35-square-mile Town of Davie. The town is home to 86 miles of equestrian trails, as well as 135 miles of recreational trails and 845 acres of open space and parks. The first thoroughbred horses in Florida were bred and trained in Davie in the 1930s by James Bright. He also is known for starting the Hialeah Race Track.
