Insurance Fraud

In order to combat insurance fraud and its costs to the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust and its members, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) was formed in 1999. The SIU is responsible for gathering information of possible fraudulent insurance activities and reporting suspected fraud to the Florida Department of Financial Services Fraud Division.
