Prohibition Against Contracting with Scrutinized Companies (Watch)

HB 545 (Fine) and SB 780 (Brandes) prohibit companies on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List from bidding on, submitting a proposal, or entering into or renewing a contract with an agency or local government entity for goods or services. If a company is on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List or engaged in business operations in Cuba or Syria, the company cannot bid on, submit a proposal, or enter into or renew a contract over $1 million. The bills require contracts with state and local government entities to provide for the termination of the contract if the company is found to have been placed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List.
